Can I use the Theralpine Chiller Pro indoors and outdoors?

Yes, Theralpine Chiller Pro is designed for both indoor and outdoor use. Its IPX5-rated housing protects against rain and water splashes from any direction, making it suitable for outdoor environments. For optimal performance and long-term reliability, we recommend placing the chiller in a shaded, well-ventilated, and covered location. While IPX5 ensures resistance to splashes and rain, it is not intended for prolonged exposure to extreme weather, standing water / snow, or water submersion. Users are responsible for protecting the unit from such conditions. Improper use or failure to shield the chiller may void warranty coverage in case of damage.

How long does the Theralpine Chiller Pro take to cool down my ice bath?

In our real-world test at 26 °C ambient temperature, it cooled 250 L of water inside Rhone at a rate of 6.5 °C per hour. Most users typically start with water around 20 °C and cool it down to about 10 °C, which can be achieved in under 1.5 hours.

What water temperature range is supported?

Accepted Answer

Rhone can be used with or without a water chiller. Paired with the Theralpine Chiller Pro, you can plunge as cold as 0°C or warm up to 42°C. In regions with harsh winters, we recommend ensuring the water doesn't freeze completely. While Rhone is highly insulated, prolonged sub-zero temperatures can cause the water to freeze into a solid block. This prevents use and may also place unnecessary stress on the material due to ice expansion.

What filtration and water-treatment options are available?

The Theralpine chiller uses a high-precision 20-micron filter to remove hair, debris, and fine particles from the water. It also features ozone purification, a chemical-free method that neutralizes bacteria and supports long-lasting water clarity.

How often should water be changed or filtered?

Accepted Answer

No chiller, no water treatment: If you're not using a chiller or any form of treatment, we recommend changing the water every 2–4 days, depending on use and environmental factors.

No chiller, with water treatment: With basic chemical treatment (e.g. small amounts of chlorine or hydrogen peroxide) and no chiller, you can typically extend water use beyond 7 days.

With chiller (filtration + ozone purification): When using the Theralpine Chiller Pro with integrated filtration and ozone purification, water can typically stay clean for up to 4 weeks or more with regular use. We recommend running the filtration system for at least 2–3h per day to maintain optimal water quality.

Can I use chlorine, salt, Epsom salts, essential oils, or other additives?

Accepted Answer

Yes, Rhone and the Theralpine chiller are compatible with fresh water, chlorine, Epsom salts, and low-salinity saltwater. However, we don't recommend essential oils or highly concentrated additives, as they may affect material integrity over time.

What hose or chiller connections are supported?

Rhone features two female 3/4" (19mm) BSPT (tapered/Rc) ports, compliant with ISO 7-1 standards. We recommend using exclusively male 3/4" (19mm) BSPT (tapered/R) fittings for best compatibility. Please note: While we design and test our products for optimal performance and durability, we do not test third-party chillers, pumps, or accessories. As such, we cannot guarantee safety or results when using non-Theralpine components. Always install and secure all fittings carefully to avoid leaks or damage.

What warranty comes with your products?

Yes! All Theralpine products include a two-year limited warranty that covers defects in materials and workmanship. This doesn't cover normal wear-and-tear, cosmetic imperfections, or damage from misuse but if there's a genuine issue, we'll take care of it.

Do you ship internationally? What are your delivery times?

Yes! We offer free shipping to most EU countries, as well as the UK, Norway, and Switzerland. If you're located elsewhere, just reach out to us at hello@theralpine.com. We ship with DHL and provide tracking for all orders. Delivery typically takes 5–12 business days after dispatch. Please note: For deliveries to EU countries, customs clearance fees and import duties do not apply. For deliveries to Switzerland, shipping, customs clearance fees and import duties are included. For deliveries to other non-EU countries (e.g. Norway, UK), customs clearance fees and import duties may apply and must be paid by the customer.

What is your return or cancellation policy?

We want you to be completely happy with your Theralpine experience. Returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery as long as the product is unused, undamaged, and in its original packaging. We'll coordinate return shipping for you, but please note that shipping costs and certain handling fees may be deducted from your refund. If your product arrives damaged, just let us know within 48 hours with photos — we'll make it right.
